چکیده
Surfactant-based oil recovery processes are employed to lower the interfacial tension in immiscible displacement processes, change wettability of rock a more water-wet system and emulsify displace it subsurface porous media. Furthermore, these phenomena can reduce capillary pressure enhance spontaneous imbibition. The key factors affecting such process temperature, salinity pH fluids, surfactant concentration adsorption. Therefore, before any flooding is applied, extensive studies fluid-fluid rock-fluid interactions needed. use other chemicals along with surfactants chemical enhanced (cEOR) have been widely considered exploit synergy individual complement weakness arises from each them during fluids combinations lead alkaline-surfactant (AS), surfactant-polymer (SP), alkaline-surfactant-polymer (ASP), nanoparticle-surfactant (NS) among others. In this review study, we categorised role mechanisms discussed be for analysing fluid

Application of Nanoparticles for Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery
In this paper, the potentials of using particles, especially nanoparticles, in enhanced oil recovery is investigated. The effect of different nanoparticles on wettability alteration, which is an important method to increase oil recovery from oil-wet reservoirs, is reviewed. The effect of different kinds of particles, namely solid inorganic particles, hydrophilic or hydrophobic nanoparticles, an...

متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery Processes
In this paper we develop a new mathematical formulation for chemical compositional reservoir simulation, and provide a comparison of its results on alkaline-surfactant-polymer flooding with those of UTCHEM simulator. Our research has found that the existing chemical compositional model estimates the adsorption effect on the transport of a component reasonably well but it does not satisfy the pr...
متن کاملAn Experimental Study of Surfactant Alternating CO2 Injection for Enhanced Oil Recovery of Carbonated Reservoir
Core flooding experiments were conducted with the objective of evaluating near miscible surfactant alternating CO2 injection and the effect of surfactant concentrations on gas-oil and water displacements in porous media. The core samples were provided from a low permeability mixed wet oil reservoir at 156 °F and 1900 psia. In addition, very few studies of surfactant adsorption on car...
